The top is much more impressive in person as red is a hard color to capture the flame on. For a 21 year old guitar this one shows a few small marks and player wear that are hard to capture on a red guitar. The worst of it is a a mark in the top finish about six inches long that we've taken a close up picture of. I'd rate it an 8 out of 10 or very good
